Buzz Capitol is committed to accuracy. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly, clearly, and transparently. This policy explains how we handle corrections to content published on our site.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
We follow a verification process before publishing any story. Despite these efforts, errors can still happen. When they do, we believe the right response is transparency and a prompt correction not silence or a quiet, unexplained edit.
Types of Corrections
We distinguish between a few types of content changes:
Correction: A factual error is fixed, and a note explaining the correction is added to the top or bottom of the article.
Clarification: The original information wasn’t incorrect, but the wording may have been unclear or open to misinterpretation. The language is updated, and the change is noted.
Update: New information is added to a developing story, along with the date of the update.
Retraction: In rare cases where a story needs to be removed entirely, we publish a retraction notice explaining why.

- The name of the article and, if known, its author
- A description of the error you noticed
- A source or evidence supporting the correct information
- Your name and contact information (optional, but helpful for follow-up)
All correction requests are reviewed by our editorial team.
Our Correction Process
- Request received: Your correction request is logged and reviewed.
- Verification: Our editorial team checks the claim against reliable sources to confirm accuracy.
- Correction made: If the error is confirmed, we update the article and add a correction notice.
- Requester notified: If you asked to be kept informed, we’ll let you know once the correction is made.
- Internal record: The correction is logged internally for our records.
We aim to respond to all valid correction requests within 48 hours.
How Corrections Are Labeled
Corrections are clearly marked within the article itself, rather than edited silently. A typical correction note looks like this:
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated [the error]. It has been corrected to reflect [the accurate information]. We regret the error.
We do not make substantive changes to published content without noting that a change has occurred.

We maintain a record of significant corrections made to our published content. This reflects our commitment to accountability and accuracy over appearances.
