Have a story you would like the American public to hear? Buzz Capitol wants to hear from you! All tips are checked by our editorial staff and only those that adhere to our editorial standards are followed up on.

What Kinds of Tips Do We Cover?

We would like you to send us your tips on any of the topics we cover:

  • US and world news
  • political issues or governmental injustice
    Scams, financial fraud and/or corporate malfeasance
    Process and procedure in crime, court and/or public safety situations
  • Medical issues or news related to the health industry
  • Celebrity and entertainment-related (entertainment industry issues)
    Rivals of royal or international public figures.
    Human interest that will be in the news and of national importance.

If you are not certain if your tip works, send your tip anyway everything gets considered.

To submit a tip, follow these steps:

In the subject line, type “News Tip – [Short Description]”.The subject line should read: “News Tip – [Brief Description]”.

Please do make as much of a detailed submission as possible:
The outcome of a process or event.Result of a process or event.

  • Who is involved
  • Sequence of events
    Any written or pictorial evidence, examples, or documentation that you can provide.
    Potential follow-up information (optional):

All tips that come through are considered and reviewed by our editorial team. We may return to you for further information: If your tip is accepted for possible publication, it may be contacted by a writer or editor for information. Many times a tip does not lead to a published story, and it is not possible to contact any individual and let them know the status of each story.

Protection of the confidentiality of information is taken seriously. To request that the names and information you provide is not published, please inform us beforehand. We recommend consulting with a legal representative for more detailed information on the implications of sharing certain types of sensitive information if their concerns would be triggered.

We suggest the following for tips that contain sensitive or legal information:
Using an individual (non-work) email address.

  • If required, placing a secure, encrypted email call to us

What We Cannot Accept

We are unable to accept tips that:

  • Contain illegal content
  • Use private individuals without a public interest basis
    Are clear defamatory or intended to injure someone without justification.

All tips are considered against our editorial guidelines; we may choose to reject any tip.
