Buzz Capitol’s highest standards of journalistic ethics. This policy is a statement of values and principles which govern the conduct of our Editorial staff.

• We are truthful and do not manipulate or embellish facts.
• Editorial independence: We are independent from advertisers, governments and outside influences.
• Objectivity: We report news objectivity and without personal or political bias.
• We are responsible for our work and own up to mistakes.
• Minimising harm: We are aware of the potential harm that our reporting may cause people and communities.

Conflicts of Interest

Any personal, professional or financial relationships that may be considered a conflict of interest must be disclosed by our staff. Persons with conflicts of interest are excused from related coverage.

Gifts and Freebies

Our journalists refuse gifts, money or free services from those or people that are covered. Products or media may be accepted for a complimentary review copy solely for the purpose of editorial review.

Anonymous Sources

Anonymous sources are only used when information is of significant public interest and cannot be obtained through other sources of information. Only anonymous sources will be used if approved by the editor and the source will be identified in the article.

Reporting on Sensitive Topics

Sensitive issues such as crime, mental health, tragedy and personal tragedy are handled with care and compassion. These topics are reported responsibly using industry accepted practices.
