Lucki Injured in ComplexCon Brawl With Playboi Carti Crew

October 4, 2026

Chicago rapper Lucki was reportedly injured on Saturday, October 3, 2026, during an altercation at ComplexCon in Los Angeles involving his entourage and people associated with Playboi Carti. Video circulating online shows Lucki bleeding near his face and neck as he is helped into a car, though the exact nature of his injury has not been confirmed by police or festival organizers.

What happened between Lucki and Playboi Carti’s camp at ComplexCon?

The confrontation broke out on the opening day of ComplexCon’s 10th anniversary edition at the Los Angeles Convention Center. According to AllHipHop, whose correspondent says they witnessed the incident, Lucki was hurt during an altercation involving members of his entourage and people associated with Playboi Carti.

The onstage chaos echoed other live-show disruptions this year, including Usher’s onstage fan encounter.

Video that spread rapidly across social media shows the chaotic aftermath: Lucki, dressed in a camouflage jacket, is walked out by security to a black luxury car with a crowd gathered around him. Separate footage appears to show blood around the side of his face and neck. Some online accounts claimed the Chicago rapper was stabbed or slashed — but neither claim has been verified.

Was Lucki stabbed at ComplexCon?

That is not confirmed. Multiple reports describe the incident as an altercation with a possible stabbing, but as of Saturday night, no official statement had been issued by police, health officials, or festival organizers, according to SoapCentral. AllHipHop likewise reports that “the precise nature of his injury has not been established.”

It has also not been established that Playboi Carti personally participated in the incident or directed anyone to attack Lucki — a crucial distinction, since Carti’s reported proximity to the event comes largely from his central role at this year’s ComplexCon. Carti is serving as co-artistic director of the 2026 edition alongside Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, and he was scheduled to headline Sunday’s concert at the nearby Crypto.com Arena with an Opium-heavy lineup including Destroy Lonely and F1lthy.

The story matters beyond the two rappers because ComplexCon publicly states that it enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on weapons, with safety plans coordinated with the venue, corporate security, and law enforcement — including both uniformed and undercover officers on-site, per SoapCentral’s report. Any confirmed stabbing at the festival would raise serious questions about those security measures.

Why do Playboi Carti and Lucki have beef?

The altercation revived attention on a simmering feud between the two rappers that dates back to 2024. According to reporting cited by SoapCentral, the trouble started when Carti interpreted one of Lucki’s social media posts as a sneak diss after Lucki showed off a new chain and said “Crosses up.” Lucki took to his Instagram Story in September 2024 to deny the post was aimed at Carti.

“Like I said from the jump, I don’t dislike you,” Lucki said at the time, according to the report, adding that he had simply bought a chain. He also shared old direct messages showing Carti hyping him up back in 2023, and joked that Carti was insecure “because you don’t love Jesus like that.”

The exchange appeared to cool down afterward — until Saturday’s confrontation put it back in the spotlight. Online searches for “Lucki,” “Lucki stabbed,” and “what happened to Lucki” surged Saturday night, with Google Trends logging over 100,000 searches and a 1,000% spike in interest.

What is ComplexCon 2026?

ComplexCon is the annual pop-culture convention founded by Complex Media, celebrating fashion, art, and music. The 2026 edition marks the festival’s 10th anniversary and runs October 3–4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center — its first time in Los Angeles after years in Long Beach and more recent editions in Las Vegas.

The incident took place on day one of the anniversary weekend, just hours before Carti’s scheduled Sunday headline set. Representatives for neither rapper, nor event organizers, had commented publicly as of Saturday night.

The festival weekend overlapped with another buzzy live-music moment, Taylor Momsen’s tribute set with AC/DC.
